About Gini Graham Scott

GINI GRAHAM SCOTT, Ph.D., J.D., specializes in business and work relationships and in personal and professional development as a nationally known writer, consultant, speaker, and seminar/workshop leader. She additionally writes books about social trends, popular culture, lifestyles, and criminal justice as a sociologist and anthropologist. She is founder and director of Changemakers, a company which promotes her books and speaking, and she has taught classes at several colleges, including California State University, East Bay and Notre Dame de Namur University. Besides writing nonfiction, she has been writing scripts for films, developing TV reality/game shows, and producing song videos and low-budget indy features.

While Gini Graham Scott has published over 50 books on diverse subjects, her latest books deal with improving work relationships, conflict resolution, and personal and professional development. Among them are WANT IT, SEE IT, GET IT! – about how to get what you want through powerful visualization techniques; DISAGREEMENTS, DISPUTES AND ALL OUT WAR featuring a new model for resolving conflict, and three SURVIVAL GUIDES — FOR WORKING WITH HUMANS, WORKING WITH BAD BOSSES, AND MANAGING EMPLOYEES FROM HELL – about dealing with difficult situations at work — all from AMACOM, published between 2004-2009. She co-wrote IN THE LAND OF DIFFICULT PEOPLE in which folk tales provide lessons for dealing with people who are hard to get along with at work with Terrence Gargiulo, from AMACOM in 2008. She also wrote WORK WITH ME! about improving work relationships and resolving conflict in organizations, published by ASJA Press in 2008.

Gini’s books on social trends and popular culture include: THE ROBBER WHO SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FACE (Sphinx 2009), AMERICAN MURDER (Greenwood 2007), HOMICIDE BY THE RICH AND FAMOUS (Berkley 2006, Greenwood 2005); THE TALK SHOW REVOLUTION (ASJA Press 2008), THE DEATH OF PRIVACY(ASJA Press 2008), THE TRUTH ABOUT LYING (ASJA Press 2007), FANTASY WORLDS (ASJA Press 2007)4) and PRIVATE EYES (Paladin 1994, with Sam Brown).

Her books on promotion and marketing include: LET’S HAVE A SALES PARTY (ASJA Press 2008) and BUILDING A WINNING SALES TEAM (Probus 1991).

Gini Graham Scott has been a frequent expert guest on hundreds of radio and TV shows, including appearances on Good Morning America, Oprah, and CNN. She will soon launch CHANGEMAKERS RADIO, a weekly radio talk show series, at www.changemakersradio.com featuring interviews on various topics, including professional development and conflict resolution. The original show aired from 1991 to 1993 with more than 2 million listeners in 70+ countries.

Gini is co-producing a film based on one of her screenplays UNBALANCED, which is being film in the Spring 2009. Her other films include a variety of mysteries, thrillers, legal dramas, and sci-fi scripts. Among them are FLARE UP, THE NEW CHILD, NEW IDENTITY, RICH AND DEAD, COKE AND DIAMONDS, DEADLY AFFAIR, and DEAD NO MORE.

As a game and toy designer, Gini Graham Scott has had over two dozen games with major game companies, including Briarpatch, Hasbro, Pressman, and Mag-Nif.

As a songwriter, Gini has written and demoed over 100 songs, featured at www.songworks.net, and she has cuts on several records. She is now producing song demo videos with a team of videographers. Her photography, featured at www.artsandphotos.com, has won numerous awards and has been published in several books including BEFORE THE MODERN RUSSIAN REVOLUTION, published by the ASJA Press in 2009. She additionally writes children’s books.

Her degrees include a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California in Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco Law School, and three M.A.s in Anthropology; Mass Communications and Organizational, Consumer, and Audience Behavior; and Popular Culture and Lifestyles from California State, East Bay.
